- Sam Emerson is a 16 yr. old boy who moves out to Santa Clara
CA. to live with his grandfather with his mother
LUCY and older brother
MICHAEL after his parents divorce. Sam is truly a child of the eighties who
can't live without his MTV and is appropriately dubbed a fashion victim. In a
1987 article in All-Stars, Haim described Sam as..."sort of a smart aleck.
He's a punk kid who dresses really cool and ends up becoming a vampire
killer."

Michael
Emerson, Sam's older brother, is a bit of a rebel who
becomes infatuated with Star, a girl from the boardwalk.
This causes Michael to get mixed up with a gang of teen biker vampires, who
want Michael as one of them.

Corey Feldman as
Edgar Frog - Edgar Frog is a intense and rather militant teen, complete
with fatigues and the Stalone accent. He and his brother Alan worked in a
comic store which is where they met Sam. The Frog brothers were also the self
proclaimed vampire experts/ killers of Santa Carla. Feldman described Edgar as
a serious kid who strongly believed in vampires. Also Everyone thought Edgar
was crazy or making up stories.

as Alan Frog
- Alan is Edgar's vampire slayin' brother. He is slightly
mellower than his brother but a enthusiastic vampire staker none the
less.

Jami Gertz as
Star
 - Star is the only female member of the vampires gang. She is
the gypsy clad girl from the boardwalk who lures Michael in to the gang. As
she gets Michael more involved in the gang, she looks to him for a way to
escape.
- Kiefer Sutherland
as David

David is the undisputed leader of the gang of vampires, with
his long black coat, icy blue eyes and evil laugh. David is Michael's major
adversary. David stands between Star and Michael and it is David who torments
Michael while initiating him into the gang.

Paul - Paul was the vampire that Nanook (the dog) took out in the
tub.
- Alex Winter as
Marko
- Marko was the first vampire to bit the dust when he was
staked in the cave.

Billy Wirth as
Dwayne - Dwayne was the vampire who was terminated by bow and arrow.
His demise was followed by the classic line "Death by stereo".

- Lucy moved to Santa Carla, with her two sons Sam and
Michael, to live with her father after her recent divorce. Lucy is a fairly
normal Mom who worries a lot and is a bit overprotective at times. She finds
employment at a local video store. She then begins dating the owner
Max, which
is where all the trouble starts.
- Edward Hermann as
Max
- Max is the owner of the video store where Lucy works. Max
has several failed Dates with Lucy and is Sam and the Frog Brother's first
guess as the Head Vampire.

Grandpa
- Grandpa is Lucy's eccentric father who has a passion for
taxidermy and doesn't like company. Also Surprisingly in the end he's the only
one who really knew what was going on.
